I will be visiting/staying with my daughter for two weeks over the festive holidays and will have my Nikon D5 plus 600mm f4 lens with me (long story but i will be taking it with me to Tanzania after the holidays). So my question is, where would be a good place to go and shoot some Scottish wildlife and Birds in the freezing weather :( :( :( :(
Any tips would be much appreciated

First question would I guess be, where in Scotland are you staying?

Not really familiar with that side tbh. Plenty coastline mind you, and if you drive inland a bit you're not far from http://argatyredkites.co.uk/index.php

We'll worth checking out the RSPB sites to see if there are any nature reserves nearby. Otherwise, someone more local may be able to advise further :)

Wildlife/bird photography in Dundee in December......what do you think?.............. if Dundee is anything like I remember it 24 years ago, most of it with have been eaten by now :) :) :)

Plenty wildlife in Dundee on a Saturday night! :)

You may want to try:
Eden Estuary
Tentsmuir
Broughty Ferry
Montrose basin
Tay reed beds for bearded Tit

Good luck
