Where to send colour slide film from South Africa for processing?

Hello Everyone

It looks like there is simply nobody in S.A. who develop slide anymore...any ideas as to who I can send it to in the U.K.?

Will probably need to snail mail it as couriers would be hideously expensive?

With no scan, Peak Imaging are cheapest for 35mm E6. They are excellent quality and quick. AG Photolab are cheapest for 120 E6; also good quality, used to be slow but some reports say better more recently.

If you want scans, UK Film Lab is likely cheapest, with excellent quality. An advantage for you is they email you a link to download your scans, so you don't have to wait for return postage. They also hang on to your films for a year and then you can get them posted back in bulk, which would also save dosh.

Check out the nifty price estimator... ignore the return postage costs, it'll cost you more!

Can't help you with a recommendation, but just a word of caution. We stopped using mail services from the UK to SA because of the theft problem, and it seems to be getting worse again. Several items, including birthday cards, have gone 'missing' recently.
