Hi,
Currently I use a basic home studio setup to shoot photos for friends and family, my current lighting setup is 2 softboxes and a canon speedlite 430 EX II.
I stick to a softbox either side of my pointing at the subject, this gives even light on both sides of the subject but I feel i'm lacking ideas and knowledge so I can become a bit more creative with my lighting.
I never use the speedlite as other than using it for bouncing off the ceiling I feel pretty clueless how better to use it.
I dont want to go out and get a flash kit without knowing a lot more about how I can be a bit more creative with the equipment I already have.
Sorry to be a little vague on the subject but if people could talk me though an effective simple setup, perhaps with an example image, id be very grateful.
Or perhaps there is a book I should invest in to help with my lighting techniques?
Thanks in advance
