I haven't had a chance to get out and use my camera since I got back from holiday (mid-june) and I really want to get out and try something.

I can get to Beachy head and seven sisters as they are literally along the road from me. But after some other places that i don't know about.

I like landscape but on holiday which was my first outing with my camera I enjoyed taking wildlife shots alot more (even though my landscapes were better)

Hi Nichola

I spent most of this afternoon at Merriments (between Hurst Green (A21) and Hawkhurst) they have a lovely garden with a formal area, ponds, very tiny stream, wild area, hot and cool flowerbeds, Bird hide, shale garden all in quite a small area. For non-members I think it costs £4.** (something). There is also a coffee shop, garden centre and one of the best shops for wild bird feeding food and equipment that I have ever come across. I will put some pictures up over the next few days so you can get an idea if you are interested, I am still downloading them at present. Edited to add link to some pictures of the gardens

The Old Town at Hastings is also interesting and has lots of photo opportunities.

These are two of my more regular places to go although I am hoping to get to Birling Gap in the near future.

Thanks.

I am hoping to go to seven sisters tonight and since we are going to Eastbourne today and it's me that drives i was going to sneak my camera in and sneakily take a de-tour to beachy head, though not sure I will get away with that one

Its well worth a trip up to the Ashdown Forest, Nr Forest Row, East Grinstead & Hartfield. I spend a lot of time up there, its a great place for togs.
Its the home of winnie the pooh so you can get to Pooh Bridge and other settings, and its great for wildlife.

I can recommend a fantasic tea room at Duddleswell. Its an old quaint cottage on its own that has been converted to a tea room.

I am currently sorting through a load I took up there, Ill post when I have finished.

Ashdown Forest is pretty vast, but luckily there are plenty of car parks to stop at around the forest. One tip, if you do park up, keep your eyes on the ground as lots of delightful dog owners leave little "packages" around the parking areas - it's usually not so bad once you're further away.

Try Hampden Park and the marina in Eastbourne, both good sites for wildlife.

Ohh never though of ashdown forest. I collect piglet memorabilla from winnie the pooh as well :$

Will try the Marina too, I did think about brighton Marina but not too sure.
I was going to try and get some of the Palace and the west pier at some point too.

I am having problems actually getting off my butt and getting out there to take pics at the mo.
