Hi, I live in Chesham, Bucks but its also near the border of Herts and was wondering if anyone has any ideas of where to go to take photos both indoors and out?

Thanks :)

Landscape shots, Bovingdon banger racing/market, Whipsnade Zoo. Not got a clue on indoor stuff though :)

Something that captures the elemental, almost haunting, beauty of the place ...

Or alternatively:
  • the tube
  • the market
  • Lowndes Park
  • Ashridge estate
  • Wendover woods
  • Chesham United
  • Woods adjacent to Hivings Hill
  • Surrounding estates
  • Ley Hill

My sympathies.

What are you interested in?

Thank you

And for your list, thanks but im looking more for some different places around the area to take pics of and looking at the present weather some more indoor ideas would be brilliant :D

Also thanks mrgrubby have been to Whipsnade soooo many times but still like it but as above looking for some different ideas. I think I should have made myself a bit clearer -so sorry :shake:

You're in Red Kite country there. Make your way out towards the Chilterns to see them in greater numbers, Watlington is good IIRC, and the windmill at Turville is a good subject too.

Coming up to Autumn Colours and the best place I know in the area would be Ashridge Estate.

or Burnham Beeches / Princes Risborough, the Beech trees look rather photogenic at this time of year

I drove through Turville on Sunday, en-route home from Wallingford. It's a beautiful place. Stokenchurch and the surrounding areas is great Red Kite country too (they fly over my back garden most days). West Wycombe hill has great views, although not for wet weather. As for indoors I can't think of too many local places and I tend to head to London for one of the many museums.

I will be interested to see what comes up on this thread by way of suggestions...

How about the Pond Park estate?

Capture the locals throwing bricks at the buses - that sort of thing.

Think I might AVOID this suggestion - cant think why????

And agree with hepburn am aslo interested in what other suggestions crop up :)

Tracy.
