Where there's a Will ...

I'm amazed this minor incident got so much press tbh,
We're "living in the modern world" as one sellebrity has been known to warble. :naughty:
:coat:

I'm amazed this minor incident got so much press tbh, it's unavoidable if you use social media of any kind. Sick to the teeth off seeing/hearing about it. It was a bitch slap between 2 grown men FFS! MMA fighters throw punches at one another during weigh ins and face offs all the time, it never makes worldwide news, there's no melodrama about it. You might argue that, well they're fighters it's kind of expected - but it isn't, not until they are actually in the ring. Also, footballers are notorious for lashing out at one another, again it's never big news - but because these guys are Hollywood actors it overtook a war in the headlines ... pathetic

Though all your examples don‘treally fit since it wasn’t between two ‘actors/attendees’ but an attack on the ‘staff’ for want of a better word.

Referees have been punched and kicked during big matches/fights, point is, they weren't headline grabbing moments because they weren't hollywood stars.

Yes I thought you might cite referees etc. but it is a different sort of occasion isn’t it?

When this first blew up I read that the only similar previous occasion was when John Wayne had to be restrained by 5 security staff to stop him attacking a a woman on the stage — shoukd they have let him do it?

I confess I don’t know how accurate that account was!

Is it though? I think much more is being made out of it than is neccesary. It was a slap, not like he beat him to the ground. I would have thought an incident like this was a one-off side filler story tbh, forgotten next day. I think it's sad that it's become such a huge story
