where are my W10 Restore Points going..?

backup of all Bookmarks sorted thanks to @stryvya -- did a RP before xMarks install and noticed-----
I've noticed this before but now it's bugging me

i do a RP frequently, yet............

only 8 RPs from 16/07 - 27/07 are listed + todays
using 8GB
max set to = 32% = 74GB
HDD has 174GB free space

so why doesn't W10 just keep adding RPs up to the 32% limit i set...?.........

MAMB malware, SAS spyware, and Kaspersky AV progs all just run at Full Scan = 0

1..why - what's the disadvantage ON vs OFF
i have used a RP Restore succesfully before when things went a bit 'odd' - desktop icons altered etc

2... SYSTEM IMAGE ...why.?...how..? ...where to ..? external HDD..? will it be a big file..?
is that the same as a Kaspersky Rescue Disk.?

i can do a Google later but i have a lens apart on the desk ATM and should finish that before i lose any wee screws....

it appears that although the User can allocate 10-15% of his HDD to store Restore Points.
Microsift in their infinite wisdom delete all RPs older than 17days when you run 'Make a new Restore Pont'

I have installed therefore ''Restore Point Creator' whereby I can add my own (locked) RPs to the MS list

in addition... your advice was not ignored - I have installed Macrium Reflect
and take a new System Image monthly, with daily Diffential Back-Ups..............................
