I copy them from memory card to PC SSD in a date and short titled folder. Go through all images and "pick" the ones to keep and move then to a "picked" sub folder. Do my editing with the local files. Export to Jpeg which I move to a "jpeg" sub folder. I then process the jpegs to create smaller versions for sharing which are stored in a further sub folder of "sm".
All unused or rejected raw files I then deleted and I copy the whole folder to my server before moving the local folder to a "processed and moved" folder, which I empty if I run low on space. The server then runs weekly backups to two separate external USB drives. I also periodically sync to Backblaze for offsite backup.
The server is running ZFS on it's main storage drives so I shouldn't get any corruption without knowing about it.
