Where am I leaking light?

The camera is a Welmy six and this streak appears down one or both sides of some of the frames on this film. I had thought perhaps overspill from the adjacant frame. Or light getting in through the sprung part at the bottom where the spools rest, though this wouldn't explain how light hit the top of the negative too as the top seems pretty light proof. Any ideas?

The leak is spreading outside the frame, yes?

It could very well be the bellows, have you done the torch thing?

To rule out the bellows thing, you could put a piece of photographic paper or film in, cover up (or just not extend) the front bit (lens/bellows) and make an exposure. If the back is the problem you will have leaks, if the bellows are the problem you should just have a clear bit of film/unexposed piece of paper when you dev. You can do the same for other parts of the camera as well.

Its a very straight leak, you'd expect something quite random in shape and intensity from a hole in the bellows, a split could do it but...I dunno.

I'm gonna go with a sticky curtain or (if it has a door) door light seal failure..:)
