When did Tri-X Pan become Tri-X?

I've posted a new thread in Photos : From Film containing some shots taken with a roll of expired 120 Tri-X. I'm wondering as to just how expired the roll might've been, and the only clues I have is that I got it with a few other rolls of 135-format film that expired in the 1990s (so it may be of a similar vintage), and that the backing paper was green and labeled as Tri-X Pan, rather than just Tri-X.

When did Kodak re-name it and drop the Pan bit?

Best answer I can find is this archived set of forum posts that give dates of somewhere around 2005 for the dropping of the 'Pan', though it's still possible to buy something advertised with a Pan box or described as Pan but with a modern box.

Unfortunately the most promising links returned by Google in old forums posts and the like are dead thanks to Kodak's flirtation with bankruptcy.

Of course, as soon as I post I have a brain fart and search for the referenced previous publication, Kodak data sheet F-9 (obviously). That's the data sheet for Tri-X in the "old" packaging, was printed in April 2003 and includes a notice at the top of the first page that Tri-X Pan has been replaced with Tri-X 400 or 400TX. So obviously there was still stock of Tri-X Pan in 2003 otherwise there'd be no need for this sheet or its notice but the change was recent enough to warrant alerting the reader.
