Have a friend here, she is going through my cupboards in an attempt at sorting me out !

Most out of date she has found so far was Carrots out of date in 2001, Tuna out of date in 2002 - guess I am a bit crap at eating what I buy !

I've kept all my old girfriends in a cupboard under the stairs , does that count ?

Ps. my wife hasn't found them yet .....

I can't remember who it was so i can't name any names, but someone used to live by my Nan who had a can of beans in her cupboard from 1990. Would you have opened them????

Tony

found some hedex BBF 92, threw them out a couple of weeks ago!

a few years back (about 10 years) i was cleaning the cupboards out at my parents in my workshop (used to be the kitchen) i found a packet of penguin bars that were older than me.

and the jokes were still ****

Old mother Hubbard...

I'm quite pedantic about clearing out of date stuff out of the cupboards, so nothing :p

Kates grandfather used the shopping list his wife left on the table when she died.
So, every week, for 18 years, he went to the shops and bought the same things. When he died, there was 18 years worth of bottles of marmite, which he didn't even like !
Also, after having the house cleared, a note was found telling of the stash of money he had put down the back of the sofa - about 6 months after. I doubt it was much, but still.....

An unopened bottle of BOLS Gin handed down to me...circa 1971 in a orange brown ceramic bottle.... I hate Gin so its going to continue going out of date at the back of the drinks cupboard...

I have a Bells whisky miniture in a gift box I was given at Christmas in 1985. Never been touched.

I dont have it any more, but I used to have a 15 year old ration pack. Shame I threw it away really as it was still in date at the time :D

Pataks garlic hot sauce, once burnt never again...and I only put in a teaspoon

I only keep it because nothing could live in that jar, not even bacteria ... and one day, a mate will proudly boast he can take any hot sauce no problem.... hehehe. :naughty:

I had a bottle of 'Dave's Insanity Sauce' it was ****ing mental. Used once, noooowayyy ever again. That was BBF 1998, threw it out in 2005.

We cleared out our first aid box at home the other week and found creams and stuff that expired in 1998! oops...probably would have harmed rather than helped to cure us!

A couple of years back I went to a car boot sale, this guy had died and his sister was clearing out the house, she said there was loads of stuff if I wanted to come and have a look

I went round and she wasn't kidding, i'm surprised the floorboards didn't collapse, they'd taken boxes and boxes to the tip including packets and tins of food dated 1953

a museum would have loved what they threw away

I move house every 2 years which i find is a really good way of prevent out of date stuff in the cupboard and junk mail.

Bit extreme Toothie :D I find just clearing the cupboards is much cheaper :D

Trust me it wasn't planned just worked out that way, and im trying to look on the bright side. My last place i was at for less than 18 months and i've been here since october. Btw i have packing down to an art form and keep most of my stuff in plastic storage containers for easy removal.

Also at this point i would like to say removal men are well worth the money. Espically the guys who helped me move last time, there were issues with the book cases and they moved them all about the house for me:)
