Edit My Images
Yes
Hey guys,

I'm a pretty confident user of Lightroom - although there's lots I don't know. Like I couldn't re-touch at all, or things like that.

At the moment I want to try and make a few collages - taking 3-4 images cutting up different part of them to create a new landscape - in a similar vein to these http://hyeryoungmin.com/personal-landscape/.

I don't think that Lightroom does this, is Photoshop the best for making these sorts of collages, or is there another piece of software that might be better?

I imagine no matter what I use I'll need the ability to layer images and as well as perhaps use spot removals or things like that to smooth the transition between different images a bit. Not quite sure.

Let me know if you've got any advice.

Matt

Lightroom doesn't have the ability to cut up bits of images. Although you can make collages of full images using the print module (print package/custom package). (I followed your link but the result was a text based web page so not sure what you're looking for)

For cutting stuff out, Photoshop or Gimp (free) is probably better. (Don't know about elements)

I like FotoFusion, it's pretty simple to use and does a nice job. Yes you could do a better job in photoshop, but FotoFusion is quick and easy.

This was done in it.

Elements will do what you want. GIMP, which is free, will also do it but not so easily.
