Yes
Well it is a lovely sunny sunday afternoon here, been shopping this morning waiting outside for Makro to open at 8:30 this morning, so now have the rest of the day free, fancy going out and taking some photos, so trying to encourage matt it is a good idea, and decide where to go.
What are you all doing?

Just got back from a lovely stroll thorough a local park that I found. Originally drove down to the coast but there's nowt going on there, no wind, no waves, just lots of peeps doggy walking. Still this little park was quite a find. Pics to follow later :)

Just cooked some triple chocolate muffins with my kids, just waiting for them to cool so we're all going out for some lunch now - taking the camera of course!

pretty average day here, i'm writing an essay on my feelings after working abroad - absolute rubbish. typing it on the mac of course ;) - makes it marginally more exciting with the novelty.

Working :( I've just got in from work, but I'm still on-call until 8.30am tomorrow. Got to re-shoot my portrait project :bang: for my A level course, so I'm just about to go and round up the other half and make him pose for me  (he absolutely hates having his photo taken).

Packing bags ready to go to the airport in a few minutes. We're about to leave the warmth of LA for the Autumn of New England.

Well I had a good old sleep this morning. Having indulged in much coffee & crumpets I now need to chase some clients who are being slow and rubbish.
Then later on I should be going out for a wander with chewyuk. Ace!

Stayed in bed late, had my Yorkshire Pudding for dinner then went for a slow walk to burn off the dinner, and take some pics in the wood.
Just waiting for my slow card reader to load them onto my Mac. (hope my sandisk firewire reader arrives soon).

Look at my pics i took rate and keyword them then watch CSI all night in 5US.

Arrived in Devon this morning. Got the week off so came away on my own for the week to shoot some stuff. Here till next Sat. Currently sat chilling with the old wireless signal on my laptop. Nice. :)

Not much sleep thanks to the neighbours Haloween Party noise 'til 3am :bonk:
Was up on the canal by 8am & bumped into this guy / gal (this is one of the pair I took a pic of a few months ago riding on the back of the female swan - now they're almost the same size )

Had to crank the ISO up to 800 just to get a picture as light was very poor

Also bumped into this cute little fella / babe

I finally finished my Christmas (and birthday) shopping today :gag:

Oh, and I set up my new TV and DVD player

Went to the gym early this morning and then took "snert" out for the day.

When I first joined the forum, a certain fella here told me I need to ditch the heels if Im going to go out taking pics of the landscape (remember CT?)
Well, now everywhere is muddy and wet and I cant be a*sed with cleaning the heels and teetering over farmers gates anymore, so today I finally succumbed and bought myself a pair of walking boots.... only trouble is I now feel about a foot tall, tut!

I have a pair of walking boots, and wear them when planning a day taking pictures, more comfortable and practicle than trainers.
Didnt end up going out with camera, plan changed to afternoon in, then baby sitting over night for nephew at matts parents house as they have a travel cot etc for him. However matt just recieved text while I was packing few things to take with us to say we werent needed, so unsure what we are doing now. Oh well, I was looking forward to it as well.

I bought a window off ebay for my garage rebuild. As it was near Cambridge I took John with me and we went for a photo outing to a small zoo/wildlife park thing beforehand. Picture threads to follow :)

Baby sitting is on again.

Been visiting my parents. Dad has the big C and I spent all weekend trying to get him to eat something.......sparrows eat more......with a tiny bit of success.....Mum exhausted. Also went to see youngest son's band (again) as their UK tour hit the same town this weekend. Car started to make strange (and expensive?) noises but got home in one piece. Feeling raw and tearful, so going to loose myself in TV.

See you soon....

Did very little this morning - the other half finished getting everything loaded back onto the desktop machine - it now has 1gig of ram and two 80gig hard drives....!

Went for a wander by the river this afternoon with his'n'hers DSLRs! Not sure how the results are going to end up but we did end up with a fabulous red sky as the sun went down!

Having come back we have made a rabbit, bacon & leek pie which I'm about to go and eat....yum!

Oh, and I set up my new TV and DVD player

We've just got back from there.

After taking the kids for the afternoon last year and being shocked at how dirty and expensive it all was, we vowed never to go again, but we wanted them to see the lights.

So we went tonight.
After driving through, and having to hold onto my belt buckle to stop those sellers of flashy lights pulling my pants down and having me over, we decided the traffic was just going way too slow so decided to come home and have a boneless KFC bucket instead :)

thats the only reason we spent the weekend there was to take our eight year old daughter to see the lights ,her first time she loved it,also did all the other attractions tower etc, lots of money,:bang:

Got to admit I'm struggling with this concept a little bit. You wear the walking boots for planning the day out, so what will you be wearing at the Bolton Abbey meet, trainers, walking boots or slippers

Hey photostar - my best wishes, must be a tough time. So sorry

Ooooh I can believe that mate, I really can. I think I'm just grasping onto some romantic notion that things were cheaper and better when I was a kid. Now I know how my dad felt every time we went to Blackpool...lol :bonk:

Glad your daughter loved the lights .
When we got there, we got to the central pier, and the plan was to get to the front, turn left, drive to the end, then drive back through the lights.
Well driving along the front, we all just needed the loo. Was there anywhere we could stop? Nope. We spent ages looking for a loo, couldn't find anywhere. Not even a McDonalds where my wife could run in with the kids (I did a few years as a bus driver, I have the bladder of a titan :D). So we ended up with the daughter crying because we couldn't find anywhere to nip in to. Eventually we did, but the kids just weren't really interested in the lights, so we went home..lol and had a boneless bucket from KFC.

Well, at least the bucket probably came in handy!
