Hi folks,

I was just trawling around the hard drive on my laptop (HP G72 running W7 Home Preium x64) and came across all these empty folders in my user/steve/appdata/local folder.

I'm guessing that as they're all empty I can delete them but does anyone know where they come from? My desktop PC (also running W7 x64) doesn't have any of these folders.

I do use WL Mail on the laptop so I'm guessing that's what is causing this to happen. I don't run any WL applications on the desktop machine and I think I'll keep it that way :)

Think I'll delete what's there now and then see what the situation is next weekend.
 
Haha, try using the disk cleanup wizard, should sort things out.

Pretty sure disk cleanup won't touch the appdata folder. Several articles suggest shoddy MS coding where people reckon these folders should've ended up in the temp folder and then would get cleared down.

No real need for that, all these folders are in the same directory so a simple "delete" will suffice.

Did it saturday night and just checked ... there are two new folders there again, one from yesterday and one for today :thumbsdown:
