If you're not buying a grey import its not bad - best price on camera price buster, plus clearer than the parts bought separately from their respective cheapest suppliers.

Also both are good entry level lenses and cover a good range.

The 60D is a very capable camera and if you're inclined can have its features extended quite a bit via Magic Lantern.
 
What sort of improvements does magic lantern make?

Canon should take a look at these guys and take some of their features as it would give them a massive edge over Nikon (well actually they did - mysteriously sound meters have started appearing on the newer models\firmware)
