what you done this weekend.

I finally got round to doing something i've been meaning to do since 2001 on Saturday.

Today I got the camera out and went to a local Autograss track, the results of which are disappointing :(
The heavens opened with several furious down pours and the oval grass track didn't lend itself to photography as you could only spectate from one side and the positioning of the safety fences and commentary box was in the way of the exit from the top bend.
That meant all the sideways action was going away from you. While A1 servo mode handled the retreating subject perfectly, the back end of a car and the subsequent mud show makes for a boring image. :(

Me thinks next time I need to bribe someone :D

i made a planter and spent 2 hours looking for a ****ing calibration dvd.

shooting a few aquarium setup for somebody. And trying not to drown in the bloody rain and thunder storms!!!

it has rained , a lot.
weve been at thoresby hall today(warner hotels chain ) .shooting some promo for their "simply ballroom" weekends.the guy i,m with is a producer for the tv progs/stage shows called quinten young.also with a very nice teacher called crystal.he was using yours truly to demonstrate a shot he wanted, to my other half. shes the "poper" photographer.
yesterday was a wedding at prtland hall hotel.
i,m knackered.
no pp was used in the shot. i realy am that gruesome.

Got really wet!!.

Resting my poorly back and doing my physio exercises like a good girl :)

I went to see my ex to tell her how sorry I was for everything ive done.

Enjoying time with my new love, having been alone (by choice) since 2004. Found me on gumtree when I advertised for 'friends only' for coffee etc, and well, we just grew close :) So we went to the cinema to see the 2nd Narnia film and just listened to music etc. Also went up to the common for a few hours on Saturday since the weather was ok, to do some shooting.

Awwww... how romantic! Similar thing happened to me when I was looking for friends, having just moved to an area where I didn't really know anyone. Almost 4 years down the line and we're off to start a new life together in Canada - I've never been so happy :D

Decorating :(

Took a different camera for a walk, then got very very wet, then dried out a bit and promptly got wet again :bang: gave up and watched some old videos that I was supposed to be packing away

For future reference does anyone know how to "rescue" shots that have blobs all over them from the rain on the lens - just in case I get a decent shot and its hissing down

watched F1 Prac friday, quali sat race sunday, watched wimbledon last night and had a lazy weekend in general, oh and changed a brake light bulb lol

I bought an african bullfrog and went to work both days.

Posted tripe on internet forums and got very wet everytime I went outside.

went to shoot the London British 10km run. Got soaked twice, but got some great shots. Felt like doing the run would have been an easier option given all the walking I did with a heavily loaded backpack of camera gear...

I went to see Iron Maiden at Twickenham on saturday. Great gig!

Ran the safety for a White Water Kayaking competition, in the thunder and lightning, got blind drunk, woke up, had a hair of the dog, competed and won one of the events i'd been running the previous day, packed two huge vans with 9 marquees and all the other equipment, slept in the minibus back.

Saturday went to Manchester for a night away with the other half - got drenched walking to a restraunt and then retired to bed about 11pm as we where shattered.

Sunday went to the trafford centre and then came home to watch top gear & look into a track day in the car

Really? That is very cool and nice to hear it has actually worked out. It is strange how life happens sometimes. Honestly was too scared to look for anything else, and felt safest with just online stuff. All a new thing to me really... embarrassingly inexperienced in the real life love dept for someone of my grand old age

Helped my ex pack all his house up as he's moving out today. Couldn't believe how much stuff there was.

Got quite emotional at the end. Lots of memories both happy and sad. Found a couple of my belongings that I must have forgotten about when I moved out 2 years ago.

Not looking forward to him getting the new place sorted and having to unpack it all again.

Yep, things were going badly wrong. It wasn't easy but it was the best thing for me just to go.

We've managed to stay good friends though. I guess it was just the stress of trying to get things packed away in a really short space of time. Once we had finished I think all the memories just came flooding back, almost like a relief that it was all done.

I just hope his other house gets sorted quickly otherwise he'll be a pain in the butt.

I have been a bit unwell with some bug or other. Cannot enjoy food and exercise was a real effort. Finally went to Golspie on Saturday with Greg and cycled up to the top of Ben Bhraggie, nearly coughing my guts up in the process. Just started on the downhill and on the first drop-in got a bloody puncture! ****!@$ We had everything with us but a pump! :bonk:

Sunday we tried to get out again but I had to retire to van and half slept listening to the F1 on 5 Live. After a while felt better and pushed the bike up and rode a downhill run at Moy, great natural trails and a clear head for a while. After food I felt unwell again and went to bed.

Mixed bag eh!

least your friends still so you may of lost a lover but gained more :)

Well as mentioned earlier im trying to fix things with my ex, i made some big mistakes and really hurt her, but now its really hurting me and i am having difficulty with it.

This weekend was the first time we had seen each other for about 14 months... was a little strange, it only felt like it was the weekend before that I saw her last.

Nice to see lots of other people got wet too. I went to Exmoor Fri/Sat.... it rained. Went to Bath Sunday... it rained. Came back home today. drove through a sunny patch....then it rained.

All a shame as I've never been to Exmoor before and from the car it looked very nice when the rain eased up enough to let me see the views.

Ah well back to processing more dull scenes.

A really varied week-end for me

Friday evening met up with about 14 friends to remember a guy who died 3 years ago. We chatted about him, caught up with each others' lives and had a good meal. A bit sad/mostly happy evening.

Spent most of Saturday making up a wedding album - why does it take so long - or is it just me :(

Sunday Mr JG and I went to a ruby wedding celebration and managed to see most of the tennis. I'm rubbish at watching any sport, but this match really held my attention. Totally brilliant.

just for a change, weve been down the studio. seing clients and hanging pickies. chopping the tops off trees that overhang the access , and putting signs up outside. 18 feet up a bl... ladder.
shifting rubbish .chaining the bikes up in the barage an fitting the new alarm in there.
