What would you take?

Hi, Will be visiting the UK (Brighton & Carlisle Areas) for a week each at the end of this week I am brining my 600D as don't fancy the weight of the 1Ds mk II.
Thinking a wide angle and a 24-70 but what else would you suggest, tri-pod already sorted.
3 X 16GB cards.

An umbrella! I'd also suggest a x-stop filter if you want to do the obligatory milky sea shot at Brighton pier. Have fun.

Castle Douglas isn't actually in the borders, it's in the Stewarty of Dumfries and Galloway. The borders are quite a way to the east.

OP, your choice of gear should be fine. Personally, I'd just bring a good compact, but if you prefer a DSLR you'll have plenty of opportunities to use it!
