The age old question on here I'm sure !

Quick background, started off with a Nikon d40x,over onto a d80, then flicked over to try canon 50d. I would take pictures of cars, architecture, urban and portrait. Long story short was moving out and camera had to go :( to free up some funds.

Anyway looking to get another camera and good lenses combo something I'm
Not gonna grow outta and will last me.

Also going to few weddings this year so be nice to snap few pictures :)

Budget around £1500 to treat myself
Any ideas was looking on hdew at canon 7d and 24-105l just shy off £1500

If you're sticking with Canon and 1.6x crop, can't go wrong with 7D + 17-55/2.8 IS in my opinion. Not sure of UK prices if the budget will accomodate it..

24mm on crop is not wide enough for me, especially for architecture.

Another option would be a 5D classic with the 24-105 but it's not going to match the 7D + a f/2.8 lens for low light if that's very important.

Agree with above.. I have the 24-105 and 17-55 with the 60D and the 17-55 gets used a lot more because of the extra width. I'm thinking of selling the 24-105..

I got the 24-105 f4 L with my 5D2 but I've also got a 7D and to be honest, the 24-105 spends as much time on the 7D as it does on the 5D2. I don't really take many landscape or wide angle shots so this suits me down to the ground. It gives great IQ on both bodies and the 7D is a great camera as well. I got my 5D2 and 24-105 from hdew cameras and I was well looked after by them. Great service for a great price.

Consider the Pentax k5 too. One of the best handling cameras IMO.
