I picked up a 5p piece today and slipped it straight into my pocket :)

Many I suppose would walk straight over it, but what would it take for you to stop and pick a coin up ? 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, or 20p?

I will assume everyone would pick up a 50p coin :).

I might add whatever I find goes into the next charity box I come across:).

i live by the look after your pennies motto, so i'll pick up anything (as BH will testify :D)

well i pick anythng from pennies upto £100 pound notes. i save pennies, 2p's and 5ps in individually marked jars, and keep tallys of how much in each :)

You will pick any coin or any woman up or both :lol:

My brother has a tin full of found coins. Any coin he finds on the street he picks up and puts in the tin. Probably never to be spent.

I was out walking one day and I thought I saw a leaf blowing around. It was a £10 note. It was very quickly in my pocket!

Steve.

I miss working for my local council as a gardener. That was when I was located along the sea front and not a week went by without finding a fiver or more lying in flowerbeds, bushes or along the side of pathways as I used to do the early morning litter picking.
God bless those old biddies who would open their purses and not notice any paper notes flying out in that fresh sea breeze. And even if they did spot it, they're never agile enough to go chasing after it.
Nowadays, because I work in a greenhouse and the rest of the workforce are as tight as a gnat's backside, the only money I spot is probably a penny here or perhaps a five pence there while walking through the town center. But I pick it up anyway under the idea of finding a penny bringing good luck for the day (unless that penny is in the middle of a dual carriageway).
Did you know that apparently £40 million in loose change is unaccounted for?

I read once that those sleeping rough go out on early morning searches in town centres for dropped coins/notes and collect a worthwhile amount especially in nightclub/disco areas.

I always pick coins up, and they go in my coin bottle at home :) Although it depends where I find them. In our local pub or shop coins I find go in the help for heroes collection boxes.

someone on here found loads of money when he was fixing a phone box or something

I don't bend over for less than a quid

when i was taxi driving somew years ago, the last thing you did at the end of a late shift, was check under/behind the seats.
my best ever haul was £55.:D

Err......shouldn't you really hand anything like that into the police, regardless of whether there is ID present or not? Otherwise it's theft by finding ;)

Of the s/hand cars I have bought I have found under the seat a watch, a gold tooth, and on investigation of something loose under the handbrake found a live 12 bore cartridge:eek:

does that mean on valentines day its a bunch of flowers from the value range :D

Flowers? FLOWERS? OMG man, are you mad? Never ever buy a woman flowers or they'll think they finally have you "trained".

The only exception is mothers. You can buy them flowers any time.

Anyway, BH grows so many of the damn things in the back garden i really don't need to buy her any ;)

I don't know what's worse wasting the money on McD's or subjecting the kids to it.
