What would you do with £47,000?

It's easy to take the **** I suppose, but it's what he wants to do and it's his dosh. Just think of the horses you could get for 47K though! :eek:

£47k would get me a whole new camera set up, a nice 2CH hifi, nice 7.1 HC setup, pay off student loan, new PC, a first car, and probably a whole lot more!

i'd buy the motorbike i'm waiting for and some kit for me and the mrs and head off round europe taking pretty pics for a few weeks. just what i feel like at the min, i'm sick of exams.

Spending £47,000 on an escort is like me spending £30,000 to gold plate my 30d (It's still only a 30d)
 
That's one heck of a lot of dosh to spend on a Dagenham Dustbin. Still - as has been said it's his money to do what he wants with....you do wonder at someone who has that level of spare cash not sorting out their mortgage first and foremost though eh?

Me? That'd be a new car, 1dmkIII and the rest would wing its way off to Northern Rock to reduce the mortgage I think. (Although actually with interest rates on the up it'd make more sense to stick it in high interest at the moment I guess!)
 
How much is a Hassblad or a Leaf Digital Back ?

Then again it's nearly 4 years take home pay for me, so a long break from work would be VERY high on my list :lol:

The people who spend thousands on equipment usually do so to take shots they otherwise would have been unable to get though. The amount he has spent on his car has not made any difference to its ability to get him from one place to another.

Besides, as he said "it tells you exactly what I am" so he must surely expect people to form their opinion of him through it.

Though it is interesting that he said "what I am" instead of "who I am".

Dagenham Dustbins were not built in Germany.
It does seem a ridiculous amount to spend on modifying a car, but each to their own. I dare say we've all spent thousands on things that others would find odd, although £47k might be far above what most of us would spend.
 
47k would have bought him something ridiculous to show off on the modifying scene. A 800bhp R34 skyline or some insane JDM NSX for example.
What engine is in it? From what I can see it's still N/A? So probably a 2l from something else? I'm sure for that money it can't still have the original engine?

At least the interior looks like it's been done really well. All the fabric etc looks to fit quite well.
