What Was Your Highlight of 2022?

There goes another year! Professionally it was pretty tumultuous, but turned out brilliantly.

What was your highlight?

Mine was the day I rode my bike from France into Switzerland, then crossed into Italy over the Great Saint Bernard Pass, then crossed back into France from Italy over the Little Saint Bernard pass.

Such beautiful views and roads. A day to remember.

2022 was a sad year for many reasons which I won't list here, but I did retire and retirement is the best job I've ever had. Haven't really being able to take advantage or enjoy this retirement yet, but fingers crossed that 2023 will be better!

Booking a foreign holiday for 2023 (first time away since Covid began)! Everything crossed!

Lots of highlights for me - Trip to Poland was outstanding and probably the highlight. But also discovering so many great local bands too.

Seeing my wife perform at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and each time I picked up my son from Uni to bring him home for a few weeks.

Cardiologist deciding to take me in and fitting a stent, much better, but he was unable to do the other two sections as they’re now too narrow, ah well, any improvement was welcomed.

Seeing and hearing my 2 daughters at Heathrow as they ran through the gate to give us a hug after 3 months away travelling.
Such a big adventure for them and such a thrill to see them home safe, happy and still liking each other!

The highlight for us was going on holiday for the first time in three years and really enjoying it. Unfortunately, there have been two family deaths in 2022 as well and my dad is in a pretty bad way.

The birth of our first grandson, on January 1st 2022.....he was the first of the Year 2022 babies born in our town and he had his photo in the media.......
