what warranty do i get with digital rev

`Hi just a quick question, i have pm'd them but awaiting reply and was looking to buy asap. where do i stand with warranty with digital rev? will i get the same as if i brought in the uk or will i be left out in the dark if my camera was to break 6 months down the line.

also how do import taxes etc work?

Nikon lenses have an international warranty - bodies don't - what are you buying?
 
then I suspect the warranty will be via Digitalrev and not Nikon. Only they will know for certain though.
 
As with other grey imports you will not have a valid UK manufacturer warranty (unless what you want has an international warranty).

If you have a problem you would need to return it to the seller - not easy if theyve gone out of business (probably not a problem with DigitalRev but something to bear in mind)
 
Also, if the firm should happen to go tits-up, or if they should just decide they're keeping your money, you have no redress under UK law. You'd have to sue in a Hong Kong court.

DigitalRev offers 12 months Locally Serviced Warranty which allows you to repair your camera locally at an Authorised Repair Centre (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, etc.) without prior approval provided that the fault is due to manufacture defect.
