Hi everyone,

Posted this on another forum but no replies...

My last tripod was pretty cheap, and now the head has become very loose (understandably, for the price i paid). On the whole, i only really want a tripod for waterdrop photography, and a try at some stacking shots of flowers etc.

Mostly when im outside, my bug photos are handheld. But i need an affordable tripod that will hold up this lens, as it's quite heavy. There's this one i've seen: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...7C30152066.htm

I've read about the manfrotto, it's too pricey for me, especially since i only want one for waterdrops and some stacking pics, so not really worth the price.

So should i go with this one from Argos? I have a £30 voucher i can use in either amazon or argos. I'd really appreciate anyones suggestions.

The link isnt working, but if its from argos, Id hazard a guess its not worth it.

You can pick up used manfrottos on ebay for super cheap.
I bought a Carbon Fibre Gitzo for under £150. The retail price was around £800 or something silly.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking around £50. Dont really want to spend close to a hundred if im not gonna be using it that often.

Buy cheap buy twice, I would save up and get a Manfrotto 055 and head fab (£170ish) for macro/landscapes as it goes flat to the floor, as you get more into togging your only have to get a decent one anyway, if you lived closer I would give you a cheap Tripod for nowt, or if you want to pay the postage I will send it its a vangaurd not sure of the model, its the one in this pic
