Hi Michael. Right, where do I start ? First thing, the Army. They have a few firing ranges in the area so some locations may be out of bounds. Best to check the Firing times.

Ok. Where to go. Personally I find, (Durdle Door excepted), from Lulworth the east of the Purbecks more interesting.
Tyneham. a derelict village commandeered by the army in WW2. Never given back!! It is in the firing ranges so check its opening times.
There is a great walk from Kimmeridge to Gad Cliff. Stunning views both towards the sea and into land.
The village of Kingston is worth a visit, magnificent church, good pub with an outlook over the vale towards Corfe Castle. From the village there is a walk to Chapmans Pool. A small bay with lots of fossils embedded in the shale.
Another village, Worth Matravers is very nice, pretty, little cottages and a very good pub. There are walks from here down to the sea, Seacombe Cliffs and Winspit. Fantastic locations when theres a storm on.
Swanage is a nice little unspoilt resort. Swanage pier is always being photographed. Take a steam train from here up to Corfe Castle and get up on the hills overlooking Corfe.
There is so much to do, you`ll not be disappointed.
Cheers Gary
