Hi all,
Slight dilemma, I would like two pieces of kit but can only get one at this moment in time due to the cost of the items!
Option 1 is a lens I have spent many an hour reading and re reading the specifications for - the renowned canon 70-200 f2.8L is II
Option 2 is the canon 5D mk II to replace my current 20D.
I know the general consensus is to buy the glass before the sensor, but am I that behind the times with this body that I should invest in this first?

If you are happy with the camera, and it gets the job done, I'd buy the lens first. Lens prices doesn't change that much or too often. While with the body, as technology evolves it gets replaced by newer bodies. Soon enough the 5D mkII will come down in price and you can pick one up then for much cheaper than todays price. Example will be this. When the 5D classic came out, the 70-200mm 2.8L IS mkI was over £1k. Now the 5D classic can be had 2nd hand for about £850 or less? The 70-200mm 2.8L IS mkI brand new is still over £1k.
