My pal asked me to sell a Nikon D700 and D300S of his and I'm about to list them on ebay.

The problem is, is that there are at least 4, maybe more spare genuine batteries.

Looks like I can't really post more than one battery with each camera so what do I do with the rest. It seems a shame to just get rid of them but I haven't so far fond a practical way of being able to post them anywhere.

Anybody encountered similar?

I've never had a problem with sending extra batteries with kit, I always tell the postmistress (if she doesn't ask first), and she applies the sticker saying that there are batteries in the box.
Had a delivery yesterday via DPD, small camera and 2 x batteries, no issues.

Cheers @gramps

I shall check with local branch. It just occurred to me that the D300S has a battery grip with it which means I can stuff two of the batteries in there to include in sale and comply with rules about batteries being installed in devices. So that will help a bit.

Current Royal Mail rules on devices with Lithium batteries are that you can send the item with as many batteries needed to power the device installed and two spares suitably packed.
Always make sure that you declare the contents so that any warning stickers can be applied (although I think this is done electronically now(

Unfortunately not all branch staff fully understand the rules (which is fair enough)

there should be a plastic tray they sit in when not in use to protect the terminals. Then no problem how may you post together_DSC2983.jpg
