I'm doing a little tech photography course, and our project is now based around portraits, and they can be candid, posed, fashion themed, whatever!

I've planned a little meeting with some of my friends tommorrow at mine to have a little photoshoot but I'm still needing some good theme ideas....
I think i will do posed shots, so i can have more of a say in how my models look!
We're all 17/18 and one of my friends is good with make up so we could do something crazy with that...

Any ideas on themes or anything?

I'm currently looking about on flickr for inspiration, and although I'm finding really creative stuff, i don't really want to be plain right copying them! So it's hard. Not sure...

There's a field beside my house with a few donkeys.... perhaps i could persuade them to pose with them! haha, not sure how much they'll be up for that though!!

I'm even thinking of America's Next Top Model shoots!

So anything random you can think of is appreciated! :)

Donkeys & teenagers, good formula i think! Could back fire though... the field is like most, not safe to walk in!

The local park might be a good location :shrug:they can pose whilst hanging / clinging / swinging etc

How about some really soft lighting and make it a really romantic themed thing ? It all depends what you're into !?

don't worry! I'm an animal lover too and would never want to distress them! They're friendly and always come over, seem to like the company! They're curious ol' things, then they just walk off when they've had enough attention and end of story. I like that park idea actually, could be quite interesting!
 
get them to dress up in victorian clothes and go shopping in town :)

plus we could use the wee park there too.
then go into the town dressed as victorians as ian suggested haha.
 
That actually may not be a bad idea, if you go down to the McKee clock and Bandstand and then make the photographs antique like in processing.

aww that's such a cool idea! hmmm... just gotta get some costumes, i'm sure i could borrow some from my schools drama dept! and gotta coax my friends to do it... could be embarassing with all the skaters and 'alternative' kids always hanging about there!
 
Dance, simple. :) If you borrow some costumes for the other idea, you could take a stereo, and once the other plan is out of the way, turn it on and get dancing. I'm thinking modern dance in Victorian dress will make for some very interesting shots :lol:
