I want to get more into portraits and studio photography, and have money to spend...

Available choice is between an Interfit Stellar 300w flash head (to complement my existing 150w head) or an SB600/SB800 Nikon flashgun. What do you guys think? I'm kinda stuck here...

:thankyou:

Lighting sets are something that doesn't get a lot of thought on here. Come on peeps lats have some discussion on this :)

I wish I had the space at home to set up a studio.

I'd say get the best dedicated Nikon flashgun you can. It will benefit all of your photograhy in so many ways and can still be used in conjunction with your studio set up. ;)

Depends - if you're seriously getting into studio work, I'd reccommend a basic Bowens kit - the two-light monobloc outfits start at about £900 and a basic three-light set-up will rush you about £1200. I hardly use mine, but when I do need it, I'm glad I bought the best I could (not really) afford at the time as it's a real pain trying to get a cheapo budget set-up to produce the results you're after...
