Hey guys, for 4/5 years I really enjoyed photography as a hobby.

I sold my Nikon d90 in 2013 as I was going to upgrade to full frame and just never did.

My question is, is it worth throwing myself into the deep end and buying full frame, or has the technology advances in the years gone by made it much of a muchness?

Ideally I'd like to go canon as my buddy has loads of lenses that I'll be able to borrow.

Any buying advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be using it for general photography. Sport. Scenery travel etc etc

Thanks
Aaron

I'm no expert but maybe you can get an old FF Canon body for a couple of hundred, if you're lucky.

Have some fun.

IME Fx is still a significant improvement over APS-C, although less so for canon (less good sensor tech) than Panasonic, Nikon or Sony. The biggest gain is in getting more control over depth of field.

A lot depends what you photograph - if you never need shallow depth of field or a wide dynamic range the a crop sensor is fine.
