whats the difference (besides a lot of cash)

I use PSP 8 for the editing i do now but i need to know what else i will be able to do if i get

a) PS CS4

b) PS elements

i dont really want a very complicated programe if its full of stuff i will not use ,and there are no PS courses running in my locality but i'll master it if its really worthwhile

I do not shoot movies only stills

I want to be able to merge shots to try hdr shots and to shoot in raw therefore needing a raw converter (? if this is part of a possible program)

if anyone can help or point me to a decent comparison site i'd really appeciate it

thanks

Marnie

If i remember right, both PS programs come with camera raw.(raw convertor)

Elements is cheaper out of the two.

What type of editing do you do?

You can download (for free) the power toolset for Elements which will give you access to layer mask, channel mixer, transform selection & RGB channels.

Curves can be obtained by using the free smartcurve filter from here.
