What system for photo editing...

Afternoon all,

Looking for some help with regards to what my options are for a new photo editing system.

I'm having to leave my trusty XP Desktop system for something with Windows 7 so the software for my 7D MKII will work with it, so just looking for any reccomendations.

If you're updating then don't go to W7 - W8.1 is quicker, better sorted and will have a longer life. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear.

Outside of that, look for something with a quad core i5 or i7 processor, minimum 8Gb RAM and pref 16Gb, possibly an SSD + HDD for image storage. You don't need a fancy graphics card.
