I have Eye-Fi x2 and it works perfectly well, in that I get the images to the right folder, However I would like the last image to be displayed on a second large screen so I can adjust and show the image to the model and explaining what I want them to do....I know it is simple to look at the back of the camera, but It would be really useful to have it displayed to a larger monitor.

Any recomendations for software that will do this ?

This was on one of his threads .... PC 64bit Win7 Ultimate, I7 processorwith lots of RAM. 2x 24'' monitors

Hey Malcolm, You have a good memory fella...hope all is well.

How stupid of me ....PC

You're right - that is stupid :D

Almost never use PCs but on Mac I can run Lightroom and tell it to autoimport from a folder. In view mode I think it will autoadvance full screen to the next image (does when I shoot tethered).

Failing that, look at Irfanview. That used to be king of the hill for odd image stuff on PCs.

I tried looking at that soft Jonathan, but it does not do what I need...

I dont want to be tethered directly via any cables...thats where the EyeFi comes into its own...Fantastice for the studio...even with a 1d4 pro body

I just want a piece of software that monitors a folder and dispalys the last image added to that folder...

Anyone know of anything?

I actually have a lousy memory, but it;'s not hard to look at your earlier threads and a good chance that all the4 info is there. I'm great, getting busy with more studio shoots booked up for the next few months and the 580 is working well. Hope you are well also mate.

A guy in our club has a pad that shows his shots immediately he's taken them , which he can show the model. Seems more convenient on a pad (not i-pad - another one same size, although a couple of other guys are trying to replicate what he does on their i-pads) I can ask for details if it will help.

Thanks Malcolm, I'd appreciate that...I will probably end up going down that avenue eventually but I have spent about as much as I want to at the moment...I did a studio shoot last night with a set of Twin brothers....the shoot went well and I used the EyeFi setup via an external wireless router and the directed Picasa to look at the hot folder...I just manually selected the images from there to show the guys what I wanted and how things were looking...

Afterwards, their mother said it was a great idea to allow the lads to see what you were talking about on the display, She also said it encouraged them too....

The only thing that was not a positive from the shoot was when I moved to the second set we had created, the monitor was then in their view and they kept trying to view the monitor during the shoot even though the software wasn't updating to the next image..... I think the tablet solution would negate this problem. I'm still looking for the auto updating solution though.

Just spoken with my pal about this, he has an Acer A500 Tablet and uses Eye Fi Pro2
8Gb card.

He is Dave Maries and somewhat of an expert in this sort of thing, holding shoots where some family clients are holding the Tablet and deciding which shots they like and Dave just presses a button and the shot prints out immediately on his printer. He also has contracts with racing teams and they can see the images and decide which shots they want for publication without delay.

Dave can be contacted on view-photographic@fsmail.net if you want to ask any questions.

Hope this helps

Thank you for the linky Steve...I'll take a look...This maybe a solution for me as I use LR3...Cheers

Myself and another guy do it all the time for events and it works perfectly.

got an eye-fi card and it worked perfectly. used it staurday , i was amazed how it lost the coneection (out of range) but when it reconected (in Range)
it started the transfer again.

it save me hours i transfered the images into lightroom no problem

Cheers Steve
