Afternoon All!

I've recently got myself a printer and some Taiyo Yuden disks

I'm looking at designing/printing my own disks, and was wondering what would be the best way to do it.....

Ideally a template which can be imported into PS would be great so i can work on it and design the DVD how i want it....

The software which came with my Canon Pixma iP4850 looks very basic to me :|

Any advice would be appreciated

Whats wrong with the Canon software ?

You can make up any image you wish with any other package and then import that into the Canon dvd printing package, at the end of the day what do you want on the dvd , a title, an image and your contact details.

No

That's the biggest issue with the Canon it will not print right to the centre as it's set up for the older style printable CDs before they extended the printable surface to the spindle hole.

The problem that MAY be an issue with third party software is most are set-up for printing on A4 label sheets( well the ones I've seen) and I'm not sure they'll recognized the Canon disc tray .

:( thats not what i wanted to hear :(

If i would have known earlier, i would have opted for something like an Epson :(

Oh well, i've managed to find a third party template.....I'll see how i get on in the mean time....

Right, i have the dvd designed now, with a template, but i'm having issues printing....

I haven't tried printint yet, but when going through the motions, it get to the print preview stage, and it looks as though the dvd is not lining up correctly on the screen....It looks as though its only going to print on half of the dvd :(

I have all the print setup/page setup, pointing to the tray and also print to dvd....And this is within PS, Surething and also Canon's own software

Any ideas? :(

I beg to differ, the centre size is adjustable right down to 17mm

DVD designed in PS, and then imported to Canon software, printed, quality is Brilliant!! :)

I can only get mine to 33mm ??

Using version 1.8 on an ip4500 and iMac

Edit.
