No
So I have probably decided to buy one in the non to distant for processing batches of images. The question is what size to go for?

Small and I assume I'm not going to be hand stroking so far, but a little harder for detail work.

Medium, further movement when moving from one side of screen to other, but bigger is better right.........

Large, not interested, just too big

I don't have a huge amount of space to play with.

What size do you have, what do you use it for, would you recommend it or go for a different size if you had your time again?

Budget isn't an issue as they are close enough, as far as I'm concerned.

I have the small version, and very happy with it. A good bit of info is on www.plearn.com he shows you how to set it up

I agree with Jan. I have the medium and it is still over large.

Can't fault the Phlearn video

I'm assuming you are asking about the Intuos Pro line of tablets and not Intuos Pen or Intuos Pen & Touch.

I have a medium Intuos 4 and would consider a small the next time I buy one since my desk area is limited. I'd love it if Wacom would reduce some of the space outside of the active area to decrease the overall size.

I've always used medium. Small is just too small... your mouse is flying around the screen with small hand movements. You can set it so the smaller tablet doesn't actually map the screen... so you can swipe.. lift and go back.... swipe... lift and go back and move across in increments, but that in itself becomes a pain in the arse. Medium is just about right for having the tablet map the screen area.

I've had both an A5 size and an A6 size (approx). I much prefer the smaller of the two. I use them mapped to the screen size and the large one requires arm movement whilst the smaller one you can 'reach' with just wrist movement.

In my opinion if you're touching up them small is OK, if you're an artist drawing or painting then larger is better.

In not an artist. Want it to do lightroom work. Sometimes do large batches, so two or three hours in one sitting.

Usual photo adjustment of levels and a bit of touching up. Nothing overly artistic.

Just me then.
I have the Inuos 4 Large, PTK-840, which I find maps about perfect 1:1 on the 24" monitor. I have the medium as well but didn't like it as much, I found myself setting it up so I was continuously swiping across. I find the large makes detailed work easy. For me the size isn't an issue, I have a corner desk, push the keyboard towards the monitor and use the tablet. As it's USB, I just plug it in when required, which generally these days are the few occasions I use photoshop.

I have my Wacom mouse configured to "Mouse" mode and the pen using the tablet area mapped to the full screen size. With the mouse acceleration on the third notch and speed in the middle of the scale I can comfortably use it on my 24" monitor while only using about 1/3 of my tablet area. Based on that I can't see any reason why I couldn't get away with a small sized Intuos Pro as far as mouse use goes. Some may like less acceleration though, which might mean you run out of room, much like having too small a mouse pad.

The one thing I like about the larger tablet is for when doing a lot of photo-restoration work where I use the content aware spot healing brush tool quite a bit. I feel can get a bit more accuracy with the larger tablet, so could miss this with the Small ... but I won't really know until I try one. I'd think anyone that uses brush tools in Photoshop quite a bit would prefer the larger tablets.

Soooo ... if you have desk space then Medium is a good choice for photography, but if you don't have the desk space Small can work, especially if you aren't using lots of brush actions and don't mind increasing the acceleration on your mouse a bit. Everyone's needs and level of comfort are different though.
