What size mount and what type of frame for this image?

I'd like to ask some advice and opinions please.

I've had this photo I took printed on Hahnemuhle Baryta paper at 24"x 16" (there is a half inch white border though)

To get it to fit into a 30" x 20" frame, which is a standard size, the mount would be about 2.5" wide at the top/bottom and about 3" wide at the sides. I don't think this is wide enough.

If you were getting a mount for it, how wide would you make it at the sides and top/bottom? I do like a fairly wide mount personally.

What type of frame would you have? I was thinking of matt black and about 3 inches wide. If you were getting a mount for it, how wide would you make it at the sides and top/bottom?

Personally I'd go for 4" all the way around at that size, but if you want to go standard frame then I'd go 30x20". 3" mount all the way around and loose an inch off the bottom of the image which IMVHO isn't adding much.

Unless you mean that the image is printed on a piece of 24x16" paper of which there is a half inch border (i.e. the photo takes up 23x15")... in which case I'd go 4" mount, 30x20" frame and loose a bot of the bottom and RHS.

As for the mount colour and frame... well it depends on the room it is going in and the surrounding decor.

Thanks - 4" is a good width. I did indeed mean that the photo takes up 23x15" with a half inch border all round, but I'd rather have a custom mount made than have to compromise just to fit a standard frame.
