What price to sell Nikon D2X for.

A friend of mine bought one of these a couple of years ago but hasn't really used it much during the last year and has now fallen on hard times and is thinking of selling it.

He is only just coming to terms with the fact that cameras soon go down in price after launch and that he is going to get nowhere even close to what he paid.

I've tried to do some homework for him by checking out the usual suspects like fleabay etc but haven't found a used one for sale yet.

Can anyone suggest what a reasonable asking price would be. It's in good nick and still has the box etc.
 
judging by completed used listings on Ebay about £1.5k seems to be the ballpark figure :)
 
Loads on ebay, if you go advanced search completed items only they have been going between £1100-£1575.
 
i'd say sell it for £150 -- to me:D otherwise if its had light use and is in good condition i'd agree with 1.5k

I've been a small user on ebay for years now and didn't realise you could do a completed items search. That really is useful.
 
I would say he might find it difficult to get a good price for it now as you can pick one up from Warehouse Express for under £2k and you can get the D2xs from One Stop Digital for less.

I've been keeping an eye on these for some time now and the prices are dropping, if the price was right I might be interested but I wouldn't pay £1500.

as long as this remains a "how much is it worth" thread it's fine. If it becomes a disguised "for sale" thread it will have to be closed/removed.
