What Nikon Lens for me?

Looking to buy a nikon d80 body and and still wondering which lens to get to start me off. I would use it for shooting some portraits, nature and holiday snaps. Any suggestions would be great!

To get you started there is nothing wrong with a kit lens, that is what I am still using with my D80.

This will probably get me slated but consider the 24-120. It doesn't get great reviews but I really can't complain about it :shrug:
