Ok, so a music thread in the post processing section. Really? But bear with me.

Spent a good few hours this afternoon/evening going through, editting, tweaking etc a lot of photos from the past week. Now usually this is a tedious event for me but today I've had plenty music on to ease the strain.

So, my question is... What music do you listen to, during your hours spent editting and processing, that keeps you sane?

For me today it has been The Verve but unfortunately I have fully exhausted my collection and am going to have to look elswhere now.

Mods - If you feel this is posted in the wrong section then do your thing.

Hoping for some good responses, maybe a bit inspiration for me.

Thanks, Ian

Put iTunes on Shuffle and away you go!

Whats the Muse album like? Going to get it soon!

something soothing like Andrea Bocelli or Katherine Jenkins helps me concentrate.

Whatever grabs my attention on my hard drive at the time.

Last night it was Prodigy and Leftfield, tonight it's Third Eye Blind and Rodrigo y Gabriela's new album.

No speakers, so all i listen to is the whirrr of fans in my pc :bang::bonk::bang::bonk:

Shuffle sounds like a good idea. Usually I'm not listening to anything as I tend to pop into youtube every now and then.
The off day the radio might be playing.

You could try Spotify. Loads of free music.

Or another thing I do is type the name of a track or band into youtube and usually get loads of vids. Just minimise the window and it's pretty much like listening to iTunes or something.

florence and the machines cd - didn't like it to begin with, now i cant get enough of it - the same with paulo nutini's latest one

You have very good taste with Katherine Jenkins, listening to her latest album "Believe" at the moment, spoke to her Wednesday in Bham a dinky lovely.:);)

Lack of Afro and The Budos Band today.

Strutting around my office like a 70's pimp on the set of Starsky & Hutch! :D

(If you know the music, you'll know why!)

Never even thought of playing some music whilst processing. Mind you, I do that little processing these days (Not because my pics don't need it, but because I don't take that many :D) it would have to be a very short song. Will have to give it a go next time I have a batch to do, thinking maybe some Pink Floyd.

Ludovico Einaudi

Saw him again at the Bridgewater in Manchester last Monday. The closest thing to a real genius that I have experienced.

Chris :)

Right now..........Jethro Tull - yes you heard that right.

Kind of quirky but they have produced some pretty good stuff.

radiohead garbage placebo verve bit of muse

but to do it properly you need seineys a DAC and a headphone amp, I want the last two and will build them when I get round to it

oh and it has to be LOUD to cull distractions, hence the headphones whenever I am not with my floorstanders which is too often atm

I need to listen to something quite soothing, if I put on something jumpy it just makes me want to get out the house and do something!

I always stick my tunes in on the CD player as I have the tendency to just surf music when its playing from my computer.

The CD's I have ready to play right now are;

Blue - Joni Mitchell
Led Zeppelin III
Magnolia Soundtrack

I pick a song I like press play and put it on shuffle, I like not knowing what song is on next

I like to listen to Morrissey whilst I'm sat at my computer, whether it's just surfing the net or post processing pics.

Ah finally a man of vision and taste. Good old Tull 42 years and still going strong.

At the moment I am PP'ing to the bluesy licks of Seasick Steve to be followed by THE greatest guitarist alive, the genius that is Richard Thompson. If you've not heard of him then shame on you the man rocks.
then a little Zep and a soupcon of Seth Lakeman washed down with a nice drop of malt whisky. Life is sweet. :D

*** Cassidy.

and when the family hear this in my study they know to STAY AWAY!!!

WHATS WRONG WITH ***

Why is E V A blanked out??

I have seen him twice. First time on his own with acoustic guitar and then with his band. He both rocks and folks (or whatever the correct word is. Actually, he rocks when playing folk music too!).

I also saw one of the other greatest guitarists in the world a few years ago - Brian Setzer.

Steve.

New muse album is great. Still think origin of symetery and black holes is a cracker though. On another subject Im getting married in 4 weeks and sat down to write my groom speech listening to In Silco - Penedulum haha. I wrote the speech dead quick but it made absolutely NO sense. hahahaha, note to self listen to more chilled out music.
