What Loxley paper do I want?

I will be getting a team photo print done by Loxley with a paper size of 36" x 24" and an image size of 32" x 19" so I get a nice white border. On the bottom border there will be the printed names of the team, nice and central in 3 rows, back, middle and front.

This print will be framed and hung in the Chairman's Boardroom in pride of place. The question is, what paper do I get Loxley to print this on? I think lustre/matt would be best but am unsure of the paper type.

Also I have read on here that the ROES upload system is a bit of a pain. Is there a preferred, best way to send the file?

Do you have any experience you could share please?

Thanks in advance for your help

Roes is fine and you are only uploading one image. For this type of image standard paper would suffice, no need to splash out on fine art.

Thanks for the info. If I've done all the PP stuff in CS6, do I need to tick the colour correction option during the ordering process?

People will argue otherwise but Loxley will colour correct the image anyway, even if you don't check the box. This is not a negative, they know how to get the best results from there paper and printer. Colour correction is done manually which makes a big difference.

Maybe you could crop the image so a 6x4 is at the same resolution as the final image will be, then get a few samle images printed on a few different papers? Loxley may even be able to do this for you. The test prints will also give you an idea as to the final colour fidelity of the papers.

I second Kevin's comment; I've had only good experience uploading with ROES.

I recently ordered a 12 x 16 on Fuji PhotoRag for a B&W print and was super pleased with the result. Of course YMMV, and I was specifically after 'that photorag' look.
