Hi all, I have been offered the chance to photograph my brother in laws leather items. Now don't get the wrong idea!!!!! he makes gear stick and hand brake gaiters, and re-upholsters car seats, door cards and dashboards. Now I have to say that I'm new to digi but have been using a film slr for years on manual. Has anyone got advice on what lighting to use as I would prefer to do it at home as most of the items will be small. have been looking at some studio kits, 2 lights, a reflector for 200 notes, Could any guide me or recommend somewhere in the midlands area. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Standard answer to this kind of question is a Lencarta Smartflash kit. They start at £270 for a two light outfit but it's quality gear.

Take a peek here - they only sell direct, which helps the price. You'd pay over £400 for this from other brands http://www.lencarta.com/smartflash-mains-flash/index.php
