Hi Guys,
from a sports perspective, what kit gave you more keepers after purchasing/borrowing etc etc....Body , Lens, ??

Im sure Gary will tell us about his D3S..lol

Thanks for the link...I already read this great insight to pro sport togging.

It does not however answer my question...

The MKIII runs it close, but I'd have to say the 300 f2.8. Without that I could never have hoped to produce a high enough standard of work to move on from where I was.

I found (when they worked) my Canon kit of MKIII with 400MM and MKIII with 135M was pretty good.

However i have noticed a dramatic increase in my keeper rate since the switch to Nikon (D3S 400MM,70+200VRII), mainly with the AF system acquiring (sp?) and locking on to a target better. Though having talked to guys shooting with the MKIV they too have seen a big increase in the AF performance

My Canon 1DIV combined with a 400 2.8 is just stunning.

My 3rd replacement Canon MKIII and my 400mm F/2.8 L IS was stunning until Lehmanns screwed the lens up but then the move to Nikon made me think that the Canon was in fact just a heavy point and shoot kit.

My Canon 1DIV combined with a 400 2.8 is just stunning.

I never thought the mkIV + 300 could be beaten... but as above deffo

Canon 1dMKIV + 400mm f2.8 L ... otherwise known as the Nikon crusher :)

Cheers guys....I think you just confirmed my thoughts ...Glad to hear both the newer Canon and Nikon bodies are producing the more accurate faster AF.
