What is this called and how do I search for it?

Need a new hook thing on my wardrobe door. When the key is turned the black rod turns and wraps the metal hook round something. One of these hooks has fallen off years ago. Can’t work out what it’s called. Every time I search I can’t find anything. Is it possible to find something to replace?

Hmmmm! we have the same on a free standing wardrobe and I have looked but like you am finding it hard to identify.

One thing for sure in way much larger form the doors on lorry & container rear doors have the same type of door latching system.

The solution appears to be two steps

1) get a set of bars used on shipping containers and attach those to the outside of the wardrobe.

2) explain to Mrs cambsno.
