Im not really arty, and that. and was wondering if someone could explane in laymans term what is ment by abstract.
just one of the mags i get is running a comp on summer abstract. and i dont have a clue as such.

Abstract art, a non-representational artwork, especially a painting.

LOL. Difficult really but if you took a photo of an subject in such a way that it wasn't immediately obvious what that object was, but concentrated on some texture or other feature in the subject which was interesting in itself, then that generally speaking would be classed as abstract.

Crap explanation probably. :D
