What is it with Fuji's? why so many in the classifieds?

Just curious having never owned one, what is the deal with Fuji camera's?

On the first page of the classifieds, other brands on this forum, 20 of the 32 posts are Fuji's for sale, are they that bad?
 
Or are they the most popular "other brand" hence more around for sale?
 
Hmmm ok but if they were that good why would there be so many for sale?
 
Also, there's always a deal on Fujis (free lenses, cashbacks, whatevs) so residuals are just awful and sometimes it's cheaper to buy a camera + lens rather than the lens you want. Lots of people want to sell them so they can upgrade or sell off spare bodies bought in kits but they aren't worth as much as they think.

Maybe there are no "Panasonic, Olympus, Konica, Zenith etc" for sale 'cos people have found out that no one wants to buy them :p
 
My first ever digital camera was a Fuji Finepix F601. :lol:
I still have it, and it still takes cracking little images :-)
(Though the battery now lasts about half an hour :lol: )

Your post has just reminded i was fibbing lol, i actually forgot that i did own a fuji in i think 1998 it was a 1 mega-pixel beast, i can't remember the model number, but even with that i used to take portraits and used software to interpolate the files to a larger size lmao.

Just found some images taken with it, it was actually a Fuji MX 500 :)

30 minutes is plenty when it comes to DIY. Ive always preferred to get someone to do it for me.
 
As previously said, there have been a few body upgrades recently and some folks want to change the body and keep the lens. Then there are the ones who have bought package deals with lens they didn't particularly want, and are now trying to sell on. Then Fuji come along and mess up prices by offering deals to shift older stock, so that means the XPro-1 and 2 prime lenses for something like £50 more than the body only price still being quoted by Camera Pricebuster. I think it's because they have some many offers on to promote the system, but people buy kit's with bits they don't need and then sell them on.

Awhile ago while the XE1 was on fire sale there were some stonking offers on, which quickly sold out.

Bit of a shame for people who paid full price for their kit though, to see its value plummet
 
There are a lot of possible upgrades new X30, XT1 etc...

I had an X100 and loved it, but sold as it was a bit slow compared to DSLR and wanted to use funds from that to put towards another lens - tempted with another as everything else was great. My Xpro was again a great camera but for kids the AF is not good. AF.

I loved both of them but cannot justify having them sitting on the shelf, sale of Xpro helped fund D750
 
A lot of deals have been going about with Fuji i think its down to this,also they are a very popular camera system and a very good one :)
 
It was exactly the same with m4/3 before the Fuji system kicked off, everybody tried it and moved on...now everyone's doing the same with Fuji.
 
I would rather have my X-T1 and five lenses than a Nikon D810 and the trio of Nikon f2.8 lenses... which would cost what...three times as much?

I think we have a winner. The novelty wears off and people come back to tested and trusted camera systems.

Also perhaps Sony is now the better Fuji. I certainly think so. Both are essentially competing in the same segment.
