What flash do I get?

I have a Nikon D5000 and have been doing most of my portrait shots outside using available light, but now it is getting cooling I am doing more inside using natural light from window & the fill flash on the camera. I want a better flash but not sure what to go for? :thinking:
I only have a budget of £50 right now....... :shrug:

You might be able to scrape a SB400 (there's one on the for sale section going for about 80 I think at the moment) which would be compatible with your D5000 although you would be better to save more for a SB600 if you can as it gives you a lot more flexibility. Also if you upgrade later to a camera with wireless TTL you will be able to trigger it off camera. Maybe the D5000 has this feature but I suspect not.
