What File Extension

I have taken a whole lot of NEF (Nikon) RAW images and want to pass them to a friend along with JFEGs for post processing. Do I have over the NEF files or do I convert them to a different type e.g. .psd that can be used in Photoshop? Help please! mere:bang:

Since your friend is familiar with what post processing is NEF would be your best choice.

Does your friend have a fairly recent version of Photoshop? If not I'd suggest you convert the raw to DNG (Adobes own sort of raw) this may be easier for them to open, as your D4 needs a fairly recent version to open them (ACR 7.1 from memory).

Any idea how to batch convert to DNG? Have CS5 and Elements 10
