We have just got back from an holiday in OZ, traveling with Emirates business class booked through Travel Councillors. As part of the business class tickets there is a complimentary chauffer pick-up and drop off service. On our return journey the pick-up to take us to Brisbane airport failed to turn up, despite it being clearly shown on the 'manage my booking' portal. After waiting a further 30 minutes my wife phoned Emirates who assured us we were down for a pick-up but they said they couldn't help any further as they couldn't contact the car company responsible. We ended up getting an Uber cab in order not to miss the flight. On our return I contacted the Travel Councillor concerned to put in a claim for the cab fare. She immediately said TC are not liable as the pick-up is a 'perk' from Emirates and we need to take it up with them. The reason I booked through TC was so we had a package and should be covered by their guarantees. What does the panel think?

I would raise a claim through the airline directly. It is most likely something outwith the airlines control though, such as heavy traffic, car accident, driver sickness etc. You might be lucky and get some free airmiles from them.
