Normally see the Kingfishers taking Minnows or Sticklebacks but this one got something different.
I'm no fish expert but think it might be a young Trout ... anyone else a view?

No crit on the image, it's just a heavy crop of a mis-focused record image to see what the fish is :)

Looks like a small gudgeon
 
Checked some pics of small Gudgeon but they all look to have a much more pointed head and no sign of the circular black markings on the side :thinking:
 
Yeh, looks like a par to me.
 
It's definitely a trout or salmon parr. They are very similar but trout have more defined parr marks, I reckon it might be a trout.
 
I concur it's almost certainly a parr if all my reference books were not currently packed away ready for a new carpet next week I'd have a look through see if I can nail down exactly which it is
