Dual control body and feet electric blanket, a gold ring [not engagement, just a nice ring she'd been asking for, more a 'promise' ring] , Euphoria perfume, Pyjamas

We don’t do Christmas presents really so she has only one request, a Terry’s chocolate orange, easy.
We bought us a new telly mid December so that was Christmas, it came with two remotes! I’m still having fun with random channel changes and muting the sound, I may need medical help when finds out.

Is she aware that there are 2 remotes?

If not, don't overuse yours ... could be months before she twigs!

Oh what fun when she calls the store and gets it taken away as faulty........... ;)

I was typically generous to Mrs P, for putting up with me: a couple of very good new outdoors coats (Didrikson's parka and Fjallraven cagoule), and a bunch of smelly stuff from Occitanie de Provence, plus chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. It's an investment...

She said that she wanted something useful, so she got a warm and cosy winter coat (heard that before somewhere!) and a new microwave!

We decided not to get each other a pressie, instead the money is going on a fly cruise to Portugal later on in the year. This is already booked

Ouch! My first encounter with Plantar Fasciitis was down to a pair of Converse - hope they don't do the same to you!

I bought them for Wifey. She's had a few pairs now. She's also had Planta off and on for as long (before her first Converse) as I've known her, it can be nasty.

Pink Chris put me on to some insoles which have kept the dreaded PF at bay ever since I started using them. I am forever in his debt for the info and link!

Do you still have that link? I have suffered with PF off and on too, horrible thing. Nothing worse than getting up in the morn to find your feet are in agony soon as they land! I do a lot of walking in work and anything that makes feet more comfortable I'm all for

I'll tag @Cobra and see if he can remember it/has it handy. Mrs Nod gets mine for me and she's out at the moment. If Chris hasn't still got it, I'll get it off Mrs Nod when she gets home. I think it's through an ebay shop.

@Nod @Cagey75
The link no longer exists in my purchase history, but Im 99% sure its these.

edit found them

Certainly looks like them! I'll check with Mrs Nod once she's sat down.

found the purchase, Updated @Cagey75

Just about to post a correction! The Edison ones are definitely the ones Mrs Nod gets for me - it was the green colour that fooled me in Chris's old link!

It didn't come up on a purchased search, so I went back through my history, and there they were :)

I used to suffer badly with PF due to typical work shoes that had no arch support. Since wearing good trainers and then serious walking shoes most of the time, no PF. If I have to dress up, I use shoes that are big enough to take a good arch-supporting insole, like Chris has recommended above.

I had decent work boots, but I think that walking on rough / loose or uneven ground, was the main cause.
The insoles in both the work boots and other footwear ( mostly trainers) sorted it out.
it did take about 11 months to clear though.
Although it was very painful at times, I did find I could walk it off.

I do anything between 10K - 15K steps on a work day [occasionally I'll hit 20k, which is about 16km afaik] , and I think I got PF from just not considering footwear as being essential to this. I mostly wear trainers, and never really think about support, just go by ones I like the look of. My latest pair, which are Nike Air [and for work I almost always just go all black, which does narrow down selection a bit] have been dreadful. There's been times I could swear there's a tiny stone or splinter of some kind in my shoe, I'll check and nothing ... it's just my feet simply saying 'get a better pair dim wit!'

I've had PF on and off before. Once was for a whole summer a few years ago.

I have found that limited mobility/strength in the feet and also tight calves doesn't help matters. If I feel the start of any foot discomfort my first port of call is calf stretching for a day or two.

I've no idea how many steps I did, per day, a few miles anyway.
I wear these indoors, they take a little getting used to, if you wear slippers, but they are very supportive.
Check the size chart, if you go for them, its accurate.
They are better than Birkenstocks, and cheaper too.
My current pair are nearly 3years old

My other half has just passed her driving test - last week.

So she wanted a dashcam - which I fitted yesterday. And parking sensors, which I have to fit when it stops raining next......

Plus a few other bits & pieces such as a Trees For Life/Simon Baxter calendar, etc
