I would love to take my D300 & all of my kit, but for many reasons, including medical, its just not going to happen, So I am now going to take what I can

So help me out choices so far are TZ10, HS10 or P100, iso is not an issue nor resale value as it will be kept incase of further problems, its going to be scenary, some wildlife and general pics.

I dont want talking out of buying, justthe best help I can get in choosing, so please offer any advice you can .

:thankyou:

Pete

I had my hands on FZ45, HS10 and sx20 this weekend and the HS10 the ring is underneath the flash so when you are trying to zoom in, you will be stopped by the flash, I would find that annoying. The SX20 is heavy and feels somewhat outdated, of all of them (including some DSLR's I handled) the one I liked best was the Panny FZ45 but because I want the tilted LCD I'll be waiting to get my hands on a FZ100, hope this helps. I saw a P100 there but it looked a bit too small for my hands so I didn't care to try it.

my 2 cents

I'd take the fuji, simply because it is what I knwo having a predecessor.

DSLR like, twisty zoom, RAW, MAcro, big optical range. It will feel similar to what you are used to holding, takes a flashgun and filters.

Full manual mode is also something worth having.

The flexibility of the camera means you can shoot pretty much anything, although won't be up to the quality you are used to in all situations, it will still take blinding pictures.

Edbray on here has one.

But, it is bigger than the others.

Thanks pirespt, I need to get into town & handle them I guess

Thanks Lawrie, in this case size doesnt matter (on of my probs at the moment is arthritis flares, making changing lenses etc difficult) And we may be off for two weeks camping, so my ruck with a body spare batts, 4 lenses etc is just not practical :nono:
